When I am reading at the table and eating (I know you should not do this), but the book weight holds my pages, better than a big cooking spoon. It works very well for my cookbook, when I am cooking, it holds the pages exactly where I need them to be. Works better than paper clips, clothes pins, or cooking utensils. Nice!
